Kenny Rogers and B.J. Thomas double bill at MTS Centre

PROLIFIC country and pop superstar Kenny Rogers is coming to Winnipeg in January.

The bearded crooner will play the MTS Centre, along with special guest B.J. Thomas, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.

Rogers has sold more than 120 albums throughout his long career, and recorded 24 No. 1 hits, including The Gambler, Lady, Lucille, Through the Years and Islands in the Stream. He has had a dozen No. 1 albums. His 2011 release, The Love of God, was his 21st top 10 album.

Last month, Rogers released a memoir, Luck or Something Like It.

Opening act B.J. Thomas is also a fixture on the American music landscape, with a string of hits including, Raindrops Keep Fallin' on my Head and Hooked on a Feeling.

Tickets for the Jan. 23 concert go on sale Friday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m., starting at $39.50. They are available at all Ticketmaster outlets, charge by phone (1-855-985-5000) or online at www.ticketmaster.ca.
