Neil Young rides Crazy Horse to Winnipeg on Nov. 16

NEIL Young is bringing some Americana to Winnipeg.

The veteran singer-songwriter --who spent his formative teenage years in the city -- and his semi-regular backing band, Crazy Horse, will play the MTS Centre on Nov. 16 in support of their new album, Americana, a collection of new arrangements of American folk standards.

Tickets for the show go on sale June 15 for $61 to $200 at Ticketmaster.

The new album is Young's first collaboration with Crazy Horse -- Billy Talbot, Ralph Molina and Frank "Poncho" Sampedro -- since 2003's rock-opera Greendale.

Young last played Winnipeg in July 2010 when he performed two solo shows at the Centennial Concert Hall in support of his album, Le Noise. He last played the MTS Centre in 2008.
