Winnipeg Free Press - PRINT EDITION

Red Hot and Rebirth

  • Print

HBO's Louisiana-set drama Treme winds up on Nov. 25, but you can still immerse yourself in the sounds of New Orleans... and better yet, you can do it live and in person when the venerable Rebirth Brass Band plays the Windsor on Nov. 26. The Grammy-winning group, which is in town to open for fellow funk-lovers Red Hot Chili Peppers the same night, combines the second-line brass band tradition with jazz, soul and hip-hop. DJ Hunnicutt and Mama Cutsworth open.

óè Tickets are $18 at ticketworkshop.com, $20 at the door and $15 with an RHCP ticket stub. Doors open at 10 p.m.
