Skrillex and Grimes headline train tour across Canada

THE Skrillex train is pulling into Shaw Park.

The 24-year-old dubstep producer is riding the rails with fellow electronic artists Grimes, Diplo, Pretty Lights, KOAN Sound and Tokimonsta on the Full Flex Express tour, which will stop at Shaw Park on July 18. Tickets for the multi-stage festival go on sale Saturday at Ticketmaster, Urban Bakery and Vantage Studios. The first 1,000 tickets will be $49.50 (plus service fees), with the rest going for $69.50 plus fees. VIP tickets will be available for $109.50.

The artists will perform in six cities -- Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver -- from July 13 to 22, crossing the country in a private passenger train.

Skrillex (Sonny Moore) performed at the Republic Nightclub in February 2011, but since then his profile has skyrocketed with three Grammy Awards and various festival appearances. He is a social media star with more than five million "likes" on Facebook and more than three million Twitter followers.
