Stuff it, cynics: Bieber makes fan's V-Day sweet
Justin Bieber just might make you believe in Valentine's Day again. The pop singer spent his Feb. 14 making a cancer-stricken fan's dreams come true.
Bieber spent the day with a six-year-old mega-fan named Avalanna Routh. They scarfed cupcakes and Sour Patch Kids, they played Candyland, they cuddled. Bieber even let Routh play with his hair.
So how did Bieber wind up spending V-Day with a little girl he called "Mrs. Bieber" on Twitter?
Since babyhood, Routh has battled a rare form of brain cancer, AT/RT, Us Weekly reports. That didn't stop her from "marrying" her idol last year. (Metro reports hospital staff threw Routh and a Bieber cut-out a wedding in 2011, complete with flowers, music and a cake.) A Facebook campaign launched to help the little girl meet her "Mr." eventually caught Bieber's attention.
After flying Routh and her parents to New York, they celebrated V-Day together, according to CNN.
"It was great... He wants to be my husband," Routh told CNN. And never doubt her Belieber cred. As the six-year-old told CNN, she's been a fan for "Seven years. No, 80. Eighty years."
For his part, Bieber Tweeted about his time with Routh Tuesday, saying: "That was one of the best things I have ever done. She was AWESOME! Feeling really inspired now! #MrsBieber."
Routh's mother, Aileen Routh, told CNN she was moved by the pop star's visit. "This is a beautiful story," she said, "and we need to keep the momentum going and we need to fund finding a cure for AT/RT."

“We need to carefully add all the diverse elements that people need to live in a place: restaurants, workplaces, nice residences, perception of safety, green space, convenient transport, nearby schools for the kids they would like to have - if any piece is missing, the outcome will not last long.”
