The Pretty Reckless at West End in October

  • Print

THE Pretty Reckless, the New York City hard rock act fronted by Gossip Girl star/black eyeliner enthusiast Taylor Momsen, will be in Winnipeg on Oct. 21, playing the West End Cultural Centre. Tickets are $18 in advance, $22 at the door and are available at Ticketfly.com.

The band, whose ranks are filled out by Ben Phillips (guitar/backing vocals), Mark Damon (bass) and Jamie Perkins (drums), is gearing up for the release of its sophomore album Going to Hell, due out in 2014. The album's release date was pushed back after master recordings were destroyed during Superstorm Sandy.

The Pretty Reckless's snarling 2010 debut, Light Me Up, was a critical and commercial success, netting the band opening slots for Evanescence, Marilyn Manson and Guns N' Roses.
