Burton's brush with fame includes dental fundraiser

BURTON Cummings is ensuring himself good oral health karma by playing a fundraiser for the University of Manitoba Dental Association.

The Guess Who frontman will play a solo show at the Oct. 16 Welcome Back Bannatyne fundraiser at the Hotel Fort Garry, with all proceeds going to the Dr. John Grahame Scholarship Award.

Cummings will receive the first honourary membership in the UMDA at the event.

Tickets are available to the public for $125 at 789-3631.
