Tonight, MTS Centre. John Fogerty is a travellin' man and tonight he'll play Travelin' Band, Lookin' Out My Back Door, Run Through the Jungle and every other song on Creedence Clearwater Revival's 1970 album, Cosmo's Factory, along with other CCR favourites and solo hits. Tickets are $27.25 to $83 at Ticketmaster.

Tonight, Pyramid Cabaret. If Twice Removed were a person it would be legal drinking age this year. To celebrate the deluxe edition re-release of the 1994 album, the Toronto-based group will play the album in its entirety, along with other favourites from the quartet's 20-plus-year career. Tickets are $34.50 at Ticketmaster.

BUDDY GUY

Friday, MTS Centre. The Chicago blues legend is a frequent visitor to Winnipeg, but this is his first time playing the MTS Centre concert bowl, where he will be joined by opening act Johnny Lang. Tickets are $49 to $69.75 at Ticketmaster.

BOB KING TRIBUTE

Sunday, Pyramid Cabaret. These days, Bob King is best known as a children's artist, but in the 1970s he was in the comedic rock SSRqn' roll bar band Kornstock with Al Simmons and Fred Penner. The group is getting back together after nearly 30 years apart to help raise money for King, who is battling cancer. Other guests include Ray St. Germain, Curtis Newton and Brent Parkin, among others. Tickets are $15 at Into the Music, the Vantage Lounge and at bobkingtribute@hotmail.com

WEEKND

Monday, Burton Cummings Theatre. Toronto-based hip-hop/R&B performer Abel Tesfaye earned a huge buzz following the free online release of his House of Balloons album last year and kept it going with the release of two more mixtapes and live shows at festivals like Coachella and London's Wireless Festival. Monday will be his local debut. Tickets are $39.75 and $50.25 at Ticketmaster.

ANTHRAX

Tuesday, Burton Cummings Theatre. With Testament and Death Angel as support, this is a thrash-metal fantasy gig circa 1987. Tickets are $40.75 and $47.75 at Ticketmaster.

RUSH

Wednesday, MTS Centre. After avoiding the city for 26 years, the Toronto prog-rock vets make their second visit to town since 2008 in support of their new album, Clockwork Angels. Tickets are $42.25 to $131 at Ticketmaster.
