Doug Edmond Band with Sora

Doug Edmond, Mitch Dorge, Alasdair Dunlop, Bill Spornitz, Rubin Kantorovich and Jeff Presslaff will be performing with Calgary vocalist and songwriter Sora to present a spring concert that crosses genres and fuses Doug's earthy and soulful sound with Sora's ethereal voice. Sora is returning to Winnipeg as part of a series of spring concerts which feature her unique storytelling songs. One reviewer, from Mossip had this to say about her multi-faceted songs "What sets these songs apart from those of her contemporaries is that they aren't simply Celtic or New Wave or even World, though they can all fall into one of these areas, it's that they are true works of art". Follwing the release of "Between the Light and Shadows" Doug released the 2010 critically acclaimed Christmas album Starry Nights with fellow band member and The Sweet Alibi and Lindsey White- “A jazzy compilation of original holiday tunes where the instrumental tracks really shine…from a group of musicians using their talents to make Christmas music a little bit better and a lot more interesting” (Deborah Remus) produced by drummer and bandmate, Mitch Dorge of Crash Test Dummies fame . Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at Park Theatre or via Doug's email on his site www.dougedmondmusic.com
