1980s Sinalong

The 1980s: at turns terrific, at turns terrifying. The hair was big and the songs were packed with synths. The clothes were confusing, the singing was high. Help us, a gang of 1980s aficionados, to commemorate this wonderful era by showing up to The Standard (61 Sherbrook St.) at 9:00p.m. on Saturday, June 25 for the 1980s Singalong. You can come wearing big hair and confusing clothes, or you can dress normally if you like, as long as you bring $5 for cover. The 1980s Singalong is quickly becoming a Winnipeg staple, just like violent crime. From stylin’ to horrifying, the 1980s remain an era that calls for celebration.
