Magnificat! choral concert with the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir

Magnificat! is the theme for the Phil’s traditional Christmas celebration. This concert on Sunday December 11 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Mennonite Church expresses all the joy and glory of the holiday season. Four uplifting Magnificats by Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Pärt and Stanford are featured in the first half, with the second half including well-known Christmas music built around the theme of Mary. Special guests include Marni Enns, soprano; Kirsten Schellenberg, contralto; Linda Fearn, organ; and a string quartet led by Minna Rose Chung. It’s a program for the heart and soul of the season. Tickets at McNally Robinson, calling the Phil office at 896-7445 or at the door. Adults $24, Seniors $20, Students $8.
