Dead Beats: Shawna Conner

Dead Beats: Shawna Conner. Feb 2-11, Negative Space, 253 Princess . Opening reception Thursday Feb 2, 7-10pm. Dead Beats is a collection of paintings that interrogate the liminal architectural like spaces between the domesticated and wild. Through a limited and repetitive palate Conner maps the abstractions that play and mediate in between binaries like the purified and profane, asking us to consider our ability to experience joy and beauty. Negative Space is a collectively run gallery and performance space in downtown Winnipeg. Negative Space is wheelchair accessible through Princess street entrance.
