An unusual memorial to Jewish and Christian Holocaust victims opens for the first time in a Canadian church March 18 at Winnipeg’s Westminster United Church. An extension of the Remembrance book Project for the prisoners of the Dachau Concentration Camp, the showing is being made possible by a partnership of the Freeman Family Foundation Holocaust Education Centre of the Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada, the Ridd Institute for Religion and Global Policy - Global College, University of Winnipeg, and Westminster United Church. The exhibit, which is in the church’s chapel (enter at 745 Westminster Ave., just west of Westminster and Maryland) runs from March 18 to April 15, will be open Monday to Friday from 10-7 and weekends from 10-3.
