Tapping into her experience in the genres of Jazz, Soul, R&B and Funk, Sol James combines them in her song-writing with her first love: Country. This ability to create a refreshing sound is apparent on her debut self-titled EP being released in the Spring of 2012. In just a short time, Sol James is conquering some of Manitoba's top performance slots, including Canada Day, Barge Festival and New Year's Eve at The Forks, The Winnipeg Jazz Festival, Broadway Street Festival, The Manitoba Country Music Association Artists showcase and most recently a song-writing work-shop for The Winnipeg Folk Festival.
