Battenburg Lace Workshop

Battenburg is a tape lace. Shapes are created by looping the tape and filling in the shape with decorative embroidery stitches called bars and brides. In this workshop we will be creating a simple heart shape, just in time for Valentine’s Day, using Belgium lace tape and then decorated with needle lace embroidery stitches. Basic sewing skills are required. Instructor: Jocelyn Froese is a local embroiderer and lace maker.
