Amateur Radio Field Day

The Winnipeg Amateur Radio Club is holding a public demonstration of emergency communications & Ham Radio during Field Day 2013. Field Day is an annual event where Hams across North America create improvised stations with no use of “grid power” and attempt to contact as many other participants as possible. As well as an essential means of emergency communications “when all else fails” Amateur Radio is a hobby enjoyed by thousands of Canadians of all ages.
