Life and Artmergencies - Taking Back Your Time: Creative Work/Life Balance

What is holding you back? Join the fight with award-winning graphic novelist GMB Chomichuk as he shares insights and candid stories (failures and successes!) about balancing a family, a teaching career and a life of a writer/illustrator. He will share stories and insights about how to find the right balance in your life and put the emphasis where it should be, when it should be. Learn how to use that daily grind to help sharpen your skills rather than wear you down. Instructor: GMB Chomichuk GMB Chomichuk is a Canadian writer, teacher, mixed media artist, graphic novelist and proud Winnipeger. He won the Manitoba Young Writers Award when he was 15, and the Manitoba Book Award for Best Illustrated Book in 2011 for his graphic novel serial The Imagination Manifesto. He is the founder of Alchemical Press and is always on the lookout for literary oddities. He puts words and pictures together. His art work has been exhibited in galleries both in Canada and the US and most recently at the pop up show at the Manitoba Children's Museum and regularly at River City Ink and Steel.
