Winnipeg Technical College and the University Winnipeg have announced a new culinary and business program.
The program, named Restaurant and Food Services Entrepreneurship Diploma, was announced today at the Assiniboine Park Conservatory. It combines Winnipeg Technical College’s Culinary Arts & Design Program and the Business and Economics Bachelor of Business Administration program at The University of Winnipeg.
"With the economy, this is an edgy issue," said Dr. Lloyd Axworthy, president and vice-chancellor at UWinnipeg. "This program will ready students for this business."
"This program really opens doors for more students," said John Bobbette, president and CEO of WTC. "University is not the only answer."
The program is 18 months long and will start in July 2013.
