Canada, prepare to get Chopped

1111The network issued a casting call along with word that it's producing a Canadian edition of the popular U.S. series, expected to hit the airwaves in the winter of 2014.

The Canadian edition will follow a similar format to the U.S. show, which premièred in 2009. Each week four chefs compete before a panel of judges and turn baskets of mystery ingredients into a three-course meal. Course by course, the chefs are "chopped" from the competition until only one remains and takes home $10,000.

Deadline for applications is March 11. For more info, visit foodnetwork.ca/castingcall.
