MOON ALERT Avoid shopping or making important decisions after noon. The moon is in Taurus.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Your focus is on money today and perhaps something you own. Very likely, this could be the source of contention between you and someone else. Furthermore, this disagreement might arise in a group situation, whether it's a small group or large conference. Be patient.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

The moon is in your sign today, which makes you a bit more emotional than usual. Be on your guard because your aroused ambition could get you in trouble with the boss or a parent or someone in authority. Don't be inflexible. Listen to what others have to say.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

You might be uncomfortable with someone else's views, especially regarding religion, politics or racial issues. Or you might have a disagreement about the law, higher education or travel plans. Don't make a big deal about things. Be gentle.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

A disagreement will likely arise today about shared property, inheritances, taxes, debt or something you own jointly with others. It might even be a dispute about different values. You probably can't change anything, so go easy. You don't want to end up with egg on your face. (If this happens, ketchup helps.)

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

People notice you today and they will certainly notice you if you have a public squabble with a partner or close friend. A parent or a boss might even be in the picture. Far better to keep the peace and not ruin everyone's day, including yours. Ya think? Zip thy lip and you'll be happier.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Expect to have a strong difference of opinion at work, perhaps about travel plans or something related to publishing, the media, the law or medicine. This is a minor difference that will fade quickly, so don't make a big deal about anything. Why even go there?

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

You like to keep the peace because you don't like disharmony with others. Knowing this, why get into a squabble about expenses regarding children or shared expenses or differing values? Wait a day or two to see how the dust settles. You'll be glad you did.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

It's easy to be irritated at home, especially with family members right now. Therefore, try to avoid a fight with your partner or friend. Work to be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Be tolerant with parents, especially. (Oh yeah.)

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Your enthusiasm for something might create opposition to you, especially at work. Perhaps others don't see things the way you do? Or they can't grasp your big ideas or share your enthusiasm? Just let this go for the moment. (You won't regret it.)

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Lover's quarrels, especially about money and possessions, are likely. Or friends might be unhappy how expenses for a vacation or a fun event are shared (or not shared). This is a fleeting disagreement so don't say anything you will regret later.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Because Mars is in your sign now, you're coming on pretty strong, whether you know it or not. This means that difficulties with family members, especially Mom, could arise. It's probably wise to back down and take a breather. Why be stubborn?

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Needless disputes and irritation with others can arise from rash actions or hasty words. Fortunately, this influence is a brief. However, you could be discouraged. You might even attract people who attack you. Is there no justice in life? Just let it go.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

TV host/social commentator Bill Maher Jr. (1956) shares your birthday. You are big-hearted and you have a dry sense of humour. You know how to lighten any situation with your clever wit. You're impulsive and will easily make snap decisions. Basically, you are emotional, expressive and nurturing. People like you. In the year ahead, something you've been involved with for nine years will diminish or end to make room for something new.
