New Year's Eve worship with the music of U2Charist, Dec. 31, 7 p.m., Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, 525 Wardlaw at Nassau. U2Charist is a liturgical service (including communion) that features the music of the rock band U2 and a message about God's call to rally around the Millennium Development Goals (Eight international goals to improve the world). Musicians Doug Holroyd and the Dylan Summers Band.


Year-End Day Retreat: Visioning a New Way of Being, St. Benedict's Retreat Centre, 225 Masters Ave., Dec. 31, 10 a.m. With L'aura and Danny Carroll. We will be sharing simple techniques to help focus on letting go of the old and manifesting new experiences in life.
