Fresh I.E. wins three GMA awards
Winnipeg Christian rapper Fresh I.E. (a.k.a Robert Wilson) has added to his growing list of accolades by winning three Gospel Music Association (GMA) awards.
The two-time Grammy award nominee received the awards at a gala in Burlington, Ont. on Nov. 7.
He earned 2012 GMAs for Rap/Hip-Hop Album of the Year (City of Worship), Rap/Hip-Hop Song of the Year (God of This City) and Urban/R&B Album of the Year (Beautiful Disaster).
Fresh I.E., an ordained minister and one-time Juno nominee, is the first Canadian Christian artist to have been nominated for a Grammy. He is currently on a western Canadian tour.
