Good Friday Public Way of the Cross taking place in Osborne Village

Be mindful if you’re crossing through the Osborne Village area Friday morning.

The Archdiocese of Winnipeg’s 27th annual Good Friday Public Way of the Cross is scheduled to take place from the Holy Rosary Parish (510 River Avenue), starting at 9:30 a.m.

The procession is expected to cover a 1.5-kilometre route through the neighbourhood, with stops along the way for readings and prayer. Leading the procession will be Archbishop Richard Gagnon, who will symbolically bear a large wooden cross.

Organizers say close to 1,000 people are expected to take part in the event.
