Accomplishments:

The T©traults started T©tro Design in 1998 and serve major clients such as the Winnipeg Jazz Festival, CancerCare Manitoba and the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. She began her blog nearly four years ago when she was relatively new to cycling and as her passion for cycling grew, so did the blog.

1. Favourite workout

"Anything I do on a bike rarely feels like a 'workout' because I enjoy it so much. I particularly love group road riding, which can be a great challenge, especially if you ride with people who are faster than you are. Not being left to die in the middle of nowhere can be an excellent motivator to work hard and keep up. I have a love/hate relationship with interval training - it hurts like the devil, but nothing makes you faster. I also like riding out in the country. We have a cabin in St. Malo and other than the odd tractor, the roads are quiet and peaceful. The cows and the wind keep me company."

2. Favourite workout song

"For those boring winter indoor workouts I need high-energy music. Right now I am oddly fascinated by Die Antwoord, a South African rap-rave group. And anything by Jack White. I only bust out the Flashdance soundtrack on special occasions."

3. Fitness tip:

" 'It doesn't get easier, you just go faster.' I didn't write that, but you can say I did!

Consistency is important, and so is variety. But most of all, if you hate running (for example), don't do it. It will be misery every time and you will quit eventually. If you love what you do, you will rarely make excuses not to do it."

4. What's in your fridge?

"I am totally obsessed with condiments. My fridge is so full of mustards, confits, salsas and chutneys there is barely room for any real food to put it on.

I hate making salads, but my current, quick go-to meals are 'kitchen sink salads.' I start with a bed of greens like baby arugula, then pile on any combination of things like avocado, snap peas, roasted beets, goat cheese, nuts, dried fruit - whatever I have on hand and don't have to chop. I try to resist the temptation of topping them off with chocolate chips."

5. What's your guilty pleasure?

"Wine, cookies and Tyrrells Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper chips by the boatload. The great thing about being active is that there is little guilt, only pleasure."
