  • Print

MONCTON, N.B. - The New Brunswick government says a new oncology clinic at the Moncton Hospital will be up and running this fall.

The clinic will be located in a new, $9.2-million hospital wing currently under construction.

Work is expected to wrap up in August.

Health Minister High Flemming says the upgraded oncology clinic will provide more space to accommodate cancer patients.

An additional 40 parking spaces are also being created as part of the project.

Design work is also underway for renovations to office space adjoining the new oncology department as part of a project estimated at $300,000.

The provincial government says it is contributing $3.4 million, while the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation is providing $6 million.
