University of Winnipeg third-year student in the faculty of business administration and forward with the U of W Wesmen men's soccer team.
Sacramento played soccer professionally in Portugal with the prestigious Real Sport Club Massama in 2009 and FC Edmonton in the NASL in 2010. After a brief stint with the WSA Winnipeg of the Premier Development League, Sacramento decided it was time to hit the books and play soccer at the university level. Soccer had arrived at the U of W and Sacramento joined the Wesmen program when it was still in the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference. Two years ago it became a Canadian Interuniversity Sport program.
His dream is still to play the game at the professional level, after having a taste of it in June 2010. He played before 10,000 people in Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium against Chile's famous Colo Colo football club, one of the top 30 clubs in the world. The Wesmen's second-last home series is Oct. 4-5 at 6 p.m. against Lethbridge at the Winnipeg Soccer Complex.
1. Favourite workout
A total body workout at the gym consisting of mixing free weights, body weight workouts with interval skipping for cardio. I finish off with stretching in a sauna.
2. Workout song
I don't really have a favourite song but love listening to electronic music, mostly house and trance music such as Hardwell, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike.
3. Fitness tip
The best way and the only way to do things is to give maximum effort. I always try to do my best no matter what I am doing and that is the only way to improve.
4. What's in your fridge?
A really good recovery drink I prefer is chocolate milk. It tastes good and has all the necessary nutrients post-workout. As for on-the-go, a peanut butter and nutella sandwich is one of my favourites.
5. Guilty pleasure
I love eating a Big Mac, Fries and Chicken nuggets from McDonald's. My mom makes really good desserts, too, so I thank her for having a sweet tooth!
