horoscope tuesday aug 14
MOON ALERT We have the all clear today to shop and make important decisions. The moon is in Cancer.
ARIES (March 21-April 19)
Today is like being in the eye of a hurricane. Yesterday was challenging and tomorrow will be equally challenging but today, you're sort of treading water. Use it to regroup. Circle the wagons and get the women and children in the middle. Be glad you have this breather.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20)
Today is like feeling inside a sandwich. Yesterday you had to eat tough crusts and no doubt, tomorrow will be another crusty day, especially at work and when dealing with neighbours and siblings. But today you have a chance to restore and replenish yourself.
GEMINI (May 21-June 20)
Although you're focused on financial matters or something to do with your job, if you're not sure what to do, do nothing. This is a day where things need to be put on pause. Maintain a holding pattern, especially regarding important financial decisions, vacations and children.
CANCER (June 21-July 22)
The moon is still in your sign but it's like you're travelling through the dark side away from the planet Earth. You're out there in the ether hanging loose. Best to replenish and restore yourself because tomorrow will be challenging. It ain't over till the fat lady sings.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
Things are prickly with others. And it looks like they will be again tomorrow. (Gulp.) Therefore, today is your day to pull your act together. You might want to think about what is upsetting you and whether it's worth the battle. Probably not.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
You've got plans that are job-related or related to cash flow. If you have a suspicion that someone will block your efforts, you're right. This will likely manifest tomorrow, along with little meltdowns with someone in a group or a meeting.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)
Right now you are caught in a squeeze play. Yesterday was challenging dealing with others, and tomorrow will probably be challenging dealing with bosses, parents and other authority figures. Fortunately, today is a reprieve. (Whew!)
SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)
So much is going on, especially behind the scenes. Use today to sort out in your mind what you really want. Know your objectives. This way, tomorrow, if challenged by others, you will know what matters to you. Adopt the Boy Scout motto: Be prepared.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)
Disputes about money and possessions were tough to deal with yesterday. Today things seem to settle down a bit. However, tomorrow someone in a meeting or group setting will probably block you. Use today to come up with a strategy.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)
Difficulties with others were challenging yesterday and they will be again tomorrow. Today, however, you're off the hook. This gives you time to do your homework, which is good because you like to be well prepared. You have to know when to hold and when to fold.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)
Situations might have been frustrating yesterday at work (or possibly related to your health). Make sure you don't let your frustrations make you ripe for arguments that could occur tomorrow about politics, religion, racial issues, publishing, or something related to travel. Chill out.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)
Use today to become calmer about something that might have been difficult to deal with yesterday. Just let it go and don't replay it again and again in your mind. Nevertheless, tomorrow might have challenges with romance, children and financial matters. It was ever thus.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY
Actress Halle Berry (1966) shares your birthday. You value your personal integrity, which is why you like to reveal society in its most honest likeness as well. You are observant and not afraid to shock, but you buffer the raw truth with humour to make it palatable. Personally, you are emotionally open. In the year ahead, something you've been involved with for about nine years will diminish or end to make room for something new.
