If your house were on fire, heaven forbid, what's the one item contained within that you would try to take with you? (People, pets and computers not included.)

I think I would happy to get out safely, but if I could grab something it would be my Yamaha acoustic guitar and maybe my folder full of unfinished lyrics/songs. I have other guitars, but that one was my first so it has sentimental value, reminds me why I started to write songs and still sounds great.

What's the one clothing/fashion item you can't

live without?

My friends play What Not to Wear with me just so I can get rid of excess clothing/fashion items! I would say I am attached to my thrift-store Bettie Page dress and tan cowboy boots.

What's your favourite knick-knack and why?

A friend who no longer lives here stayed with me for a while and when she left, there was a strange, small, purple ceramic creature left on my coffee table. I have grown quite fond of it because it reminds me of her, and is so ridiculous-looking it makes me laugh.

What's the oldest thing you own?

I guess that would be my Yamaha guitar, which I think was made in 1976.

Describe your most beloved piece of furniture.

I don't really like furniture and would prefer a wide open space with just built-in shelves and clothes racks, so I guess the only piece of furniture I come close to loving is my bed. I love to sleep!

Is there an edible item we'll always find

in your pantry or fridge?

What's a pantry? Ha, ha! I always have unsalted pistachios in the cupboard and homemade plain Greek yogurt in the fridge. Oh, and coffee.
