Hospital therapy dog Rusty has been a St. Boniface General Hospital volunteer for more than five years. Here he sits on his favourite chair in the hospital lobby greeting not only mobile patients, but also staff and visitors. He will eagerly greet as many as 800 people in a three-hour shift. He brings smiles to many and is happy to shake a paw and receive a tiny biscuit in return. Rusty is a mixed breed who came from a dog rescue shelter eight years ago.

Maddie & Gus
I think Maddie (left) and her brother Gus (right) would love to have their picture in the paper.
Gus and Maddie came to our home quite by chance when they were just six weeks old. They are now almost eight years and have just loved their first Winnipeg winter, having moved here from southern Ontario last summer. They love morning walks to the nearby Tuxedo Starbucks where everyone recognizes them in their spiffy winter coats. As much as they like winter, however, they can't wait to play in the park again come spring.

This is our dog Sherman. He loves to play with his older brother Oscar. Sherman is missing the summer months, so here is a picture of him soaking up the sun at the cabin last year. Hope this picture helps warm everyone up.

Fabritzio is energetic painted turtle with tons of personality. He is loved very much and has never bitten anyone. Turtles are amazing pets.
