Pets of the week

Tiger and Bella

Our two tabby cats, Tiger and Bella, are madly in love and can always be found snuggled up together. We lost Bella this summer for four weeks and when we finally found her, no one was more thrilled than Tiger.

Rufus

This is Rufus, our four-year-old shih tzu cross, who we adopted last year from the humane society. He loves walks in the snow, and especially loves the trails in Assiniboine Forest, where this photo was taken.

-- Aleesha Gillette and Brady Murphy

Portia and William

Here are our two rescue cats. Portia (seven months), the little black and white cat, was found abandoned at the cottage on Thanksgiving weekend. She was starving when we found her in our porch amid a snow and wind storm. William (2), the ginger cat, was found under a porch in Winnipeg. Both cats have become very good friends, wrestling and running around the house chasing each other and are the look of healthy animals.

Macie

This is our new puppy Macie! She loves to play in the snow and chew on everything. She wants to play all the time and is at the top of her class at obedience school. She loves her toys and going to the dog park to play. We love her!
