Oliver

MY name is Oliver and I am a Maltese toy poodle. Beside me is my cousin Oscar, and we hang out together sometimes. I only weigh 31/2 pounds but I am a constant source of joy to my family. I like to pretend I am a big dog and I like to chase rabbits and some birds. (They are much faster than me but that can be our secret.)

-- Claudette Dalton

Leger

THIS is Leger, my octogenarian cat. She is approximately 22 years old. A stray, she was frightened and scurried out onto one of the steel beams under Winnipeg Stadium during preparation for a Rolling Stones concert in 1994. Some of the rigging crew members rescued her after my daughter Sharon, also working on the crew, spotted her. Sharon claimed her and named her Leger after the steel rails used to build large concert structures.
