Mack, Dozer & Ruby

This picture was taken in a pit just across the street from where I live, north of Richer. The dogs are all rescues that my fianc© Bill Smith and I have acquired. Left is Mack (Greater Swiss Mountain, six years old). Dozer is in the middle. He only loves swimming when he wears his life jacket. He is a pitbull and is three years old. Ruby is a golden retriever and is 31/2 years old. She is the only female, so what Ruby says, goes!

These poor dogs didn't have much of a chance because of behavioral issues until they came here. Through LOTS of work and lots of love they now enjoy lots of ball and running around on our 20-acre lot.

-- Vanessa Toews

Nicky

Nicky is a nine-year-old Pekingese who just loves our new boat. She enjoys go to the top of the bow and sits or lays down when the boat is anchored or moving at trolling speed. She is just so happy and is our little first mate.

-- Larry Blanchard

Chiquita

Chiquita was adopted from Manitoba Mutts. She's a seven-months-old sweetheart who loves everyone she meets. Her favourite things in life include playing with her stuffed toys, running around at the dog park with her friends and, of course, tummy rubs!
