Plus-size women's retailer Addition Elle to launch debut footwear line

TORONTO - Addition Elle is making a foray into the world of footwear.

The homegrown retailer for plus-size women is launching its debut collection of footwear this fall, which is set to include a line of wider-calf boots.

"There is a real demand for stylish, wide footwear and quite frankly, our customers struggle to find a great pair of boots or shoes that fit," said Roslyn Griner, Addition Elle's vice-president of marketing and visual display in a release.

The new line will feature wider sole and calf widths, increased ankle widths, elasticized inserts and strategic heel placement.

The debut collection is slated to arrive in 45 select stores across Canada this month.
