On his 66th birthday last week, David Bowie released his first song and video in a decade. Directed by visual artist Tony Oursler, the slow burning, Where Are We Now?, is the followup to 2003's Reality. Set for release March 12th, The Next Day is Bowie's 27th studio album. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer's hits include Let's Dance, Fame, China Girl and Changes.

With a quick teaser video sending the web into a tailspin last week, Justin Timberlake jumped back into the musical spotlight, after a nearly seven-year absence. The former 'N Sync singer wasn't going to waste any time and dropped a new Timbaland-produced cut with the reigning king of hip hop stopping by for a quick verse. You get the impression that Jay-Z recorded his verse between business meetings and shopping for baby clothes, he never feels totally committed to the beat. Reaction to Suit & Tie has been mixed, with Timberlake supporters hailing his return to the mic, while critics not impressed with the lukewarm R 'n' B vibe. "The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it," he wrote. "I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... What I came up with is something I couldn't be more excited about! It is full of inspiration that I grew up listening to and some new found muses that I've discovered along the way." In a shrewd marketing move, the MySpace shareholder is using his comeback to drive some traffic to the social networking ghost town.
