Regina teen invents game about hamster that's picked up as iPhone app

REGINA - A Regina teenager has programmed a game that's been picked up by Apple's iPhone App Store.

Jordan Gabrielle's game "Roll With It" follows a hamster named Benny through a number of increasingly different mazes.

The 16-year-old says it was just something he realized he could do.

It took two months of sleepless nights before Jordan got the nod from Apple.

Since the launch about a week and a half ago, about 100 people have bought the game.

It sells for 99 cents, and Jordan says he and his co-author in Israel then split the 70 cents they get per download.

He says his busy schedule called for a partner.

“Right now, I’m doing Grade 11 and 12 so I realized I was going to need some help with this one," he says. "A few months back, a guy from Israel found me online and needed help with a project so I went back to him and said I need some help with a project.”
