Fashion blogs are a dime a dozen. Tumblr, a social networking and blogging platform, is full of style-hungry bloggers who repost outfits, pictures from runway shows and anything else you can think of from the fashion world.
What started as a joke when New Yorker Dave Fung was bored one weekend has turned into one of the hottest fashion blogs on the web. Menswear Dog is an adorable three-year-old shiba inu who rocks the latest raw denim, sophisticated streetwear and even a few looks that would make Ryan Gosling jealous, along with dishing out some of the best sartorial tips on Tumblr. One of the most original sites launched in 2013.

Since launching his flagship restaurant near Times Square in New York City, celebrity chef and TV host Guy Fieri has had a ton of publicity -- and almost all of it has been negative. From a scathing (some say unfair) review of his massive new restaurant that serves up Dragon's Breath Chili, Vegas Fries with Buffalo Sauce and Fried Ice Cream to the more recent parody menu that popped up at guysamericankitchenandbar.com, a domain that no one in his team thought to secure, the host of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives has not had an easy go with his new endeavour.
Right now, when potential customers look up his new spot, they get a hilarious faux menu that takes some well-placed shots at Guy's fusion/all-American cooking style with dishes like Football: The Meal, the Honkey-Tonk Double Meat Loaf Blast or the Olive Garden Salad. If there is a better example of why you should secure all the possible potential domain names for your business, I'm not sure I've seen it.
Some people say that any publicity is good publicity, but when your new restaurant is better known for a SNL skit and a parody menu that virally spread through the web, you may want to look at countering some of the buzz with an effective social media campaign -- or anything to switch the focus.

The last time this Toronto-based duo was in town, it rocked the Big Dancin' boat party so hard, the captain had to kill the power to the DJ booth to stop the party. Dipping into a rave-influenced moombahton sound, their blends and re-edit of artists like Notorious B.I.G., Diplo and ODB make them crowd favourites, while also helping them carve out their own sound. Stream their BBC Radio mix from last year. They'll be performing at the Greenroom, 108 Osborne St, on March 2. Tickets are $10 at the door.
