Anthony Bourdain: Ask Me Anything

óè huff.to/ZaQxT5

Writer, TV host and celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain has never been afraid to say what he thinks. Whether it's blasting his old bosses at the Travel Network or The Food Network, criticizing his fellow celebrity chefs or defending his new cooking contest The Taste, Bourdain is the perfect candidate for Reddit's Ask Me Anything online Q&A sessions. (Other recent AMA participants have been U.S. President Barack Obama, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor and former Microsoft boss Bill Gates.)

In his first AMA session for the popular online community, the sharp-tongued New Yorker talked about angering his bosses on The Layover by heading to a strip club in Atlanta, defended the honour of his lukewarm new cooking show The Taste (which takes its format from The Voice), proclaimed his love of the cartoon Archer and made it clear that although he is taking some risks in the projects he is getting involved with and that they might not turn out exactly as he intended, his integrity is still intact.

"I liked the idea that it was the most unlikely thing I could do. That it was scary and probably foolhardy to try. And I'm good friends with (chefs) Nigella (Lawson) and Ludo (Lefebvre), so I knew it would be fun. I had a LOT of fun doing it and would do it again in a hot second," Bourdain says. "It's like being asked to fly a fighter jet. I don't know how, never have before -- and it's probably a bad idea... but who wouldn't if given the chance?"

With over 10,000 pictures being uploaded per day by the 1.5 million users of Pose, it is quickly becoming one of the go-to fashion spots on the web. Described as an interactive fashion magazine that gets its content from its users, Pose has also been called "the Instagram of Fashion." With all user-generated content, it's a shining example of how crowdsourcing is changing the way fashion trends get identified and spread through the web.

With an extended trailer for HBO's hit show Game of Thrones circulating the web this week, anticipation is building for the return of the third season of the show. It's set to air March 31 on HBO, so you still have some time to pull some marathon TV sessions and catch up on the first two seasons -- or you could just ask someone who has read the books to bring you up to speed.

The audio for the first single from New York's the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' new album, Mosquito, was uploaded to YouTube last week. It will hit stores and online merchants on April 16. Watch for a more extensive viral marketing campaign from the band to roll out over the next month.
