The new 'Instagram for Video'?
socialcam.com
viddy.com
AFTER the sale of social photo app Instagram for a billion dollars in cash and stocks to Facebook (the social media giant essentially purchased its main competitor in uploading photos on the web), everyone is looking for the next big app to explode onto the scene. Many believe video-sharing apps like Socialcam and Viddy are shaping up to be the big players in this game.
Socialcam is backed by a range of investors, most notably, Jay-Z's Roc Nation. Rapidly adding 5.5 million new users in just 11 days, the company's quick growth shows that users are eager to have a place to share their videos.
The other new kid on the block, Viddy, has also been experiencing rapid growth, racking up four million users over the weekend and proving that the race to be Instagram for video is far from over.

bit.ly/on_the_bubble
IT'S that time of year again, where the networks sharpen their axes, bring out their chequebooks and start their spring cleaning. Did your favourite show survive? Not sure if you'll ever find out what happens on Fox's Alcatraz or if Community will be safe for another year? TV.com breaks down who has been renewed, who has been cancelled and who is on the bubble.
Anthony Augustine is a freelance music, technology and pop culture writer who spends way too much time in front of a computer. Got a site you think he should see? Email him at anthony.siteunseen@gmail.com or follow him at twitter.com/anthonya.
