30 Thrones
It was only a matter of time before some couch potato with too much time on his or her hands decided that there needed to be a Game of Thrones and 30 Rock mashup on Tumblr. These type of sites don't tend to stick around on the web that long, so if you are a fan of either show or just want to see how Tina Fey's dialogue from 30 Rock works with images from HBO's series based on George R.R. Martin's popular fantasy books, head over to 30 Thrones before this meme disappears from the Internet.
Play Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on Your Phone Very Soon
It's been 10 years since the release of Rockstar's genre-defining game, Vice City. A lot has changed in the gaming world over the past decade, but the biggest shift has been in the realm of mobile gaming. Looking to build on its massive brand, Rockstar Games is going to roll out a mobile version of Vice City on both Apple and Android's platforms. No need to fire up that old PlayStation 2 just to rip around the city and carjack unsuspecting motorists; you'll be able to do it on your iPhone 5, iPad mini or your new Samsung Galaxy.
The gaming industry may have changed over the past 10 years, but Grand Theft Auto still has an aura of controversy that has helped it remain one of the most popular games series around, despite the long stretches between official releases.
"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City gave players the freedom of a massive open-world in one of the most iconic and vibrant settings ever realized in a game," said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, in a statement. "It was a defining moment in the series and we're delighted to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a stunning, updated version for phones and tablets." Look for a fall release, but the company is keeping quiet whether a Windows 8 version is also in development.
Taylor Swift + Breaking Bad Parody -- We Are Never Ever Gonna Cook Together
Breaking Bad parodies are a dime a dozen on the web. Some reflect the minutiae of the show perfectly, while others are just looking to generate page views. This one does both. We Are Never Ever Gonna Cook Together takes a Taylor Swift song and gives it a Breaking Bad rewrite that deserves the nearly one million views it has received since it hit the web last week.
Before you stream this new parody, you may want to make sure you are caught up on seasons 4 and 5 of the hit AMC show or be prepared for spoilers. Don't email me saying I didn't warn you.
Comfytube
It may be a bit too early to break out Comfytube.com, a site that streams videos of roaring fireplaces and lets you control the sound of the weather and the soothing background music, but you may want to bookmark it for a couple weeks down the road. When the snow has hit really hard and the winter weather has settled in, you will want to get yourself into the spirit of the holidays and cope with the increasingly cold days.
