Video of the Week: The Lytics -- Ring My Alarm
With their long-awaited sophomore album, They Told Me, finally in stores and a release party scheduled for Nov. 9 at The Pyramid, local hip-hop outfit The Lytics also recently dropped a new video shot by Winnipeg weirdo Mike Maryniuk. Ring My Alarm's freewheeling blend of the group's old-school vibe and easygoing choruses will certainly build the group's growing fan base as it hits the road in support of their new album. Advance tickets for the show are $10 (cash only) at Urban Bakery and Kustom Kulture.

He is a skilled turntablist who still has a love of vinyl and deep appreciation for the skill and craft of being a DJ.
The last time the former DMC champ was in town, he dropped a set of classic hip-hop and dance-floor beats for a packed crowd at Blush on Portage Avenue. He's back in town Nov. 8 to spin at Republic Nightclub. Locals DLO, FIN-S and D-Luxx are also on the bill.
