Some gloves, some love

You'll rub your hands together in anticipation before you put on these sleek leather beauties

I really think we should consider ourselves quite lucky that Mother Nature decided to spare us the temperatures typically associated with early fall and instead granted our fair city with a few extra glorious warm golden days of late-summer bliss.

Actually, there were a few weeks there that actually felt more like mid-summer -- minus the brisk evenings once the sun set.

Alas, all good things inevitably do come to an end and it appears that fall has settled in quite nicely and is so close to making room for lady hiver to step in.

It may come as a bit of a surprise to some of you -- especially given my love affair with hot humid summer days -- but I actually don't mind autumn that much because its one of my favourite accessory seasons.

As soon as the sun sets, I can hardly wait to break out my collection of gloves -- they happen to be my favourite fall accessory and lucky for me I have started seeing them in boutiques for the past couple weeks.

I have to say, a girl can't go wrong with a fabulous pair of fall leather gloves -- save the woollen mittens for a few weeks down the road ladies -- simply because they have this ability to class up any autumn outerwear ensemble.

When I speak of leather gloves I'm not talking Isotoners -- not that there is anything wrong with them -- I just prefer something a little more sleek and stylized with a fun little embellishment or two. I also like to change it up a bit from the standard wrist length.

For example, how cute are a pair of wrist-cut gloves in a vibrant hue with some cute bows or studs adorning them, teamed up with a moto jacket, slim jeans and a pair of booties?

Even more fabulous would be a crop-sleeve cape cinched at the waist worn overtop a tunic, tights with Mary Janes and have them all fashionably tied together with a pair of sleek leather opera gloves.

Either way, you can't go wrong with fall leather gloves -- they really are the perfect autumn accessory and yet another way to incorporate a bit of fun and flare into your wardrobe.
