StreetStyle -- Sarah Dann with colleagues Katharine Cherewyk and Mary Beth Taylor

  • Print

Sarah Dann swiftly walked by dressed in a sophisticated unconventional suit and short kitten heels. She asked me up into the loft office space where I met two of her colleagues, Katharine Cherewyk and Mary Beth Taylor, all moms on the go.

The women answered questions on a variety of subjects, like how to dress business-appropriate in a creative field and mesh right into mom mode.

The spontaneous interview in the loft ended with a group shot of all three trendy moms together.

WHAT SARAH DANN WORE...

Cardigan -- "My cardigan is from a maternity store called 9 on Academy. It is meant to go over a big belly, but I like to wear it loose and that is why it looks long."

Shirt -- Winners.

Dress pants -- "The pants are from Club Monaco about two years ago, I like them because they have a skinny leg and you can wear them high or low."

Belt -- "My best friend gave it to me as a gift. She's a graphic artist. She picks things that have a great print on them. I love it because you can wear it wherever -- it was great when I was pregnant, it's totally adjustable."

Heels -- "The heels I got in the States, when I visited Portland."

Watch -- "The watch was a gift; with two kids I can't look at the time on my phone and hold their hands at the same time... So now I do, it's from The Bay."

Purse -- "My purse, actually I am very proud to talk about this, I got it at Browns. It's Christopher Kon, he's a Canadian designer and everything he does is made in Canada. He has a store in Montreal but he now sells at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom and he's unbelievable."

HOW DO YOU STAY LOOKING STYLISH WITH LITTLE ONES RUNNING AROUND?

"We work for a creative firm, so we do feel like we have to bring our style because we are representing next-generational thinking, so I find, rather then wearing a traditional suit I try and make it a little more funky. That is why I tend to wear my hair shorter and wear lots of jewelry."

WHAT ARE YOUR FASHION ESSENTIALS?

"Big bags, we all have a big bag, and our Hillary Druxman earrings... You always have to look like you are ready to sit down in a meeting at any time."

FASHION TIPS?

"Pixie cuts, having a signature style and don't be afraid to we wear it all the time, especially if you're not very loud with your style. Everyone has their own way that they rock their style."
