Sujin Yeo

A Tiffany blue bike flew by me downtown as I turned around I noticed a young girl dressed more formally then I would've imagined riding a bike.

I managed to stop Sujin Yeo on Albert Street intriguingly asking questions of where she was going. Yeo explained she had a job interview to go to and mentioned how sometimes it can be difficult to look put together when your means of transportation is a bike. She sticks with kitten heels and pops of colour when she needs to look more formal then usual.

What she wore...

Jacket -- "This is actually from my mom. It's from her closet, she sent it from Korea, she's very fashionable."

Blouse -- The Gap

Dress pants - Costa Blanca

Purse -- "This is from the Cambridge Satchel Company."

Watch -- Casio

Necklace -- "It was from a random online store."

Kitten heels -- "These were a graduating gift from my mom five years ago. They were quite pricey at the time so I'm glad I can still wear them."

Bike -- "I got it from my friend for free. It's very old -- I was going to paint it but I had no time. It does the job. Saves my bus fare."

Fashion essential

"I like to layer clothes, I hate American Apparel, I see a lot of people dressed in AA. I brought a lot of stuff to Canada from Korea and Japan -- I try and look unique. I can't try too hard because I need to ride my bike every day."

Style inspiration

"I really like vivid colours. When I need to dress formally, I especially like to add a touch of colour that is a punch. I really like Bee York, she's a singer she and does a lot of interesting photography. She does a lot of experimental things with her work."

How to stay trendy when riding a bike

"Try to be semi-casual if you have to ride a bike daily -- look good every day. Right now I'm working at a restaurant, I've been here for three-and-a-half years. I can't wait for the winter when I get to wear fur, layers and colours."
