MOON ALERT After 11 a.m., avoid shopping or making important decisions. The moon is in Aquarius.

ARIES (March 21-April 19)

Summon up all your patience and tact while dealing with others, especially partners and close friends, because you will need it. Power struggles as well as unexpected events might blow you out of the water. Tread carefully.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20)

This might be a difficult time at work because of power struggles with others. It will be worse if you are convinced that others have to obey your will or do what you ask. Lighten up! The harder you push, the harder others will resist you. Not good.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20)

Parent should be vigilant because this could be an accident-prone day for their kids (or for children you work with). Similarly, this is an accident-prone day for sports events, the entertainment world and the hospitality industry. Scary, yes. Don't push the river.

CANCER (June 21-July 22)

Tempers might fray because of power struggles that take place at home, especially with family members or parents. Since you know this ahead of time, you can be tactful, patient and tolerant because these struggles will be nasty and sudden. Guard against accidents.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)

This is an accident-prone day for your sign so be careful. Think before you act and think before you speak. You will be inclined to respond impulsively or up the ante in a power struggle. It's not worth doing this. Too dangerous. Be cool and smart.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)

Be careful with finances, and also be careful with your possessions. Avoid power struggles about money or something you own. You must also guard what you have and protect it. Keep an eye on your money and your stuff. If shopping, count your change and keep your receipts.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22)

Upsets with partners and close friends are likely. Basically, these are power struggles. They could ensue because you are attacked by someone else, or in turn, you might be the aggressor. This is a poor day for arguments with others because things will go to hell in a handbasket in a New York minute.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21)

Something unexpected, out of the blue, and possibly triggered by someone who does not have your best interests at heart, might take place. Therefore, keep your eyes and ears open. Be careful in everything you say and do. Watch your back.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Avoid arguments and squabbles because it is not worth it. People are bossy, independent and demanding. Power struggles might erupt immediately. This could signify the end of a friendship or a relationship with a group. Caution.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19)

Be careful that your ambition does not land you in hot water simply because you are demanding. You will be opposed. Power struggles with others including unexpected events at home will be challenging. Your best bet is to step back, keep your cool and assess the situation.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18)

Quarrels about politics, religion and racial issues might arise. However, power struggles might also take place related to medicine, the law, higher education and travel plans. In fact, this is an accident-prone day for travel. Slow down and be aware of everything you do.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20)

Quarrels about shared possessions, inheritances, taxes, debt, a difference of values or a misunderstanding regarding responsibilities could make your life difficult. Be aware of this and do your best to remove all confusions. Assume nothing. Especially do not assume others know what you want.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY

Singer Roy Orbison (1936-1988) shared your birthday. You like to align yourself with others because you want a base you can depend on. You are observant and quick to share your opinions. You have excellent money savvy and you know how to save. This year ahead is one of learning. You are like a bud opening up before it blossoms. Take a course; talk to others. Learn as much as you can.
