We're No. 15: Winnipeg makes list of most romantic cities

TORONTO -- Romance appears to reign supreme in Kingston.

The eastern Ontario city takes the crown on the third annual list of the 20 most romantic cities in Canada.

For a second consecutive year, Guelph, Ont., landed in the runner-up spot in the rankings by Amazon.ca, while Kelowna, B.C., came in third place.

They're followed by Oakville, Ont., Victoria, Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Kamloops, B.C., and St. John's, N.L.

Rounding out the top 20 are: Richmond Hill, Ont., Red Deer, Alta., Langley, B.C., and Winnipeg, followed by five Ontario cities -- Burlington, Thunder Bay, Barrie, Brantford and London -- and Burnaby, B.C.

The online retailer bases its list by comparing sales data of romance novels, sex and relationship books, romantic comedy DVDs and CDs by Canadian crooner Michael Bublé since Jan. 1 on a per capita basis in cities with more than 80,000 residents.
