Gods Lake women charged after cocaine bust

Two women in Gods Lake Narrows were charged Wednesday following a seizure of a small amount of cocaine.

RCMP said officers executed a search warrant in a residence and found 85 flaps of cocaine – cocaine placed in small packages – with an estimated street value of $4,500. Police also seized $80 in cash.

Stephanie Paton, 24, of Winnipeg, and Melissa Okemow, 30, of God’s Lake Narrows, have both been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Paton is being held in custody. Okemow was released pending a court appearance in October.
