Global economic growth will lift the Canadian economy in 2014.
That was one of the messages from Avery Shenfeld, chief economist at CIBC at an economic forum in Winnipeg this morning.
While he suggested that the Canadian economy will heat up in 2014, he said that Manitoba will remain the "man in the middle."
One of the most promising forecasts he made as far as the Manitoba economy is concerned is that resource prices are on the rise.
Shenfeld said that while some of the statistical reports from China are suspect import numbers are not.
"And China is buying more," he said.
That could mean a boost to a scuffling resource sector in Manitoba.
