$5,000 worth of gas siphoned from tank at Ashern business

More than $5,000 worth of gas was siphoned from a tank at a business in Ashern Friday morning, RCMP report.

 "Just after 7 a.m., Ashern RCMP responded to a theft of gas complaint from a business in Ashern," said Cpl. Miles Hiebert.

"Initial investigation indicates that a quantity of gasoline was syphoned from an above ground tank on the property with an estimated value of over $5,000."

 Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to call the Ashern RCMP at (204)768-2324.
