A man has been arrested after Winnipeg police found more than $650,000 worth of marijuana plants after raiding a home in Southdale on Tuesday.
Winnipeg police said today members of the service’s Green Team and Tactical Support Team executed a search warrant at a home in the first 100 block of Collingwood Crescent.
Police said they found 582 marijuana plants, worth a street value of more than $651,000, as well as grow operation equipment worth $15,000, and 157 grams of dried marijuana with a street value of more than $1,500.
A 48-year-old man was arrested inside the home and he is facing charges including producing a controlled substance and possessing substance for the purpose of trafficking.
