$901,000 raised in Manitoba Movember campaign

Thousands of Manitoba moustaches may now be gone — but Movember lives on.

Organizers of the Movember campaign announced Monday that the 2012 campaign involved more than 7,000 Manitobans.

The campaign — which focuses proceeds on prostate cancer and male health — had 7,649 registrants in the province.

Registrants raised about $901,000 that will benefit groups like Prostate Cancer Canada and the Canadian Male Health Network.

More information is available at www.movember.com

Donations can still be made through the website, said an organizer.
